Location: West of Koh Chang, about 4 km from Sai khao Beach
How to get there: From Dan Kao Pier. Turn right to the west padding Ban Klong Son, some steep mountains and Sai Khao Beach. Drive along the beach road until reaching Ban Chaiyachet which is the first point of Klong Prao Beach area. Car service rate between Dan Kao Pier and Klong Prao Beach is 40 Baht each. Chaiyachet is the stone cape located close to Klong Prao Beach, not good for swimming but is the place to see the most beautiful sunset scene of Koh Chang and the scenery of Klong Peao Beach. You wollpass Chaiyachet Bungalow and the fishing pier which looks like the block of water you can contact for the canoe boat renting at Chaiyachet Bungalow and paddle to the cape tip. Adjoining the pier is the location of Klong Prao Beach stretching to Kai Bae Beach. The area is very shady with lines of coconut trees. There are some resorts lining along the beach with wide area to enjoy privacy. So, a lot lf foreign to foreign tourists love to sunbathe at this area. During low tide, the beach looks very wide and can play the beach sports, swimming or strolling along the shore.
Klong Prao Beach starts from Laem Chaiyachet the stony beach and rocky cape with its long shape pointing out onto the sea when viewed from the height.
Besides being a nice viewpoint for Klong Prao Beach, Laem Chaoyachet in the evening is also another nice and famous place for viewing sunset on Koh Chang.
Laem chaiyachet is made up of a rocky cape and stony beach not good for swimming, but a nice viewpoint on Koh Chang overlooking a clear view of Klong Prao Beach. Beach activities, diving, trekking Klong Plu Waterfall, riding elephant, Kayaking, viewing the sunset or drinking at the beer bar. Various accommodation is found at different rates: bungalow, resorts and best resorts of hotel-standard, restaurants, camping area. Every resort is accessible by car.
You can also enjoy different atmosphere by visiting Klong Plu Waterfall located not far fron Klong Prao Resort with the bypath about 1.5 km to the area and the walkway of 400 m. or else, ride the elephant at Chutiman Elephant Camp near Ban Klong Prao Village. Koh Chang Plaza located ntar the road at the entrance of Chaiyachet Cape is the center of Klong Prao Beach’s might life almost the same as Sai Khao Beach with souvenir shops, mini-marts, photo shops, dive shops, motorcycles for renting and restaurants along the roadsides. The area is also the site of Ban Klong Prao Village, tempkes, markets, tour service center and Chutiman Elephant Camp.

Location: Northwest of Koh Chang, about 3 km from Ban Klong Son.
How to get there: From Dan Kao Pier, after arriving at Koh Chang, turn right to the west passing the Shrine of Chao Por Koh Chang, Ban Klong Son Crossroad. Be careful while passing the curved and steep road. You will finally approach the area of Sai Khao Beach starting from the police station. The car service rate from Dan Kao Pier to Sai Khao Beach is 30 baht each.
Sai Khao Beach is like the tourist center being the first destination and also the well developed beach before others. Here is the first place for relaxation. At present, as tourism is booming. Sai Khao Beach which used to be quiet becomes more crowded having more buildings, shops resorts and hotels a various rates. Along the beach is the swimming area but some area is quite dangerous. So, you should be careful.
At night time, a lot of seafood restaurants are waiting to serve tourists along the beach line including fresh seafood or barbecue as well as several entertainment, shows or beer bars.
The white beach is not only beautiful and clear in the daylight, but also another nice viewpoint for sunset at dusk on Koh Chang. Koh Chang is the largest island in the Gulf of Thailand second largest island from Phuket.
Koh Chang is at the nearest location from Trat Voast. About 8 km southwest of Laem Ngob Cape and about 45 km west of Trat Town.
Koh Chang occupies the area of 107,250 acres. The wide area influences by the monsoon causing various geographical features.
At the heart of the island is full of high mountains and tropical rain forests which are the source of rivers and waterfalls. The east of the island facing the main land is the sediment area being brought from Trat River.

Koh Chang has been the popular tourist destination for 10 years. More tourists began to increase in 1997. the ferryboat started its services in 2001 and the good-condition roads have already been constructed in 2002. All development resulted to the unlimited tourism growth.
Highlights of the tourist attractions are Sai Khao Beach. Klong Prao Beach and Kai Bae Beach together with the homestay village at Ban Bang Bao. Almost every area is reached by tourists without any exemption including the stone beach of no swimming area but having fine accommodation amidst the nature. Different activities besides beach activities are also provided for tourist’s interest.
Nowadays. Transportation to and within the island has been improved. Tourists together with their vehicles can reach Koh Chang by the large ferryboat and enjoy driving the car or motorcycle along the asphault road to every village almost around the island. A lot lf hotels and resorts as well as bangalos are found anywhere and will increase very soon including complete facilities such as shops, Restaurants, Mini-marts, Post offices, banks, filling stations, internet service, beauty salons, bars etc. Local villages including homestay villages are mostly located at the east of Koh Chang.
Koh Chang today has still been the island of beautiful natural attractions either mountains. Forests or sea with various activities to enjoy during the days of relaxation. Located not far from Bangkok and can be visited in any seasons. Koh Chang is so to say the paradise near the capital city with everything to serve tourists’ requirement. These are the reasons why Koh Chang has always been very charming.
Upon arrival at Koh Chang. on your right side or at the west of the island are known as the color of Koh Chang since Koh Chang’s western area has the beaches facing the sea. All western beaches are wonderful having very clean white powdered sand such as the famous Sai Khao Beach, Klong Prao Beach and Kai Bae Beach. The Charm of these islands has still remained and also expanded the popularity to other nearby beaches, though some are not appropriate for swimming. All beaches offer good accommodation and perfect atmosphere for tourists in stead, as another choice.
We will together explore Koh Chang’s western beaches and also get to know some small beaches of peaceful surroundings and full privacy hiding amidst tranquil nature. These make Koh Chang more attracting.
