Bai Lan Bay has a peaceful setting ideal for tourists who do not like crowds. There is a tiny sandy beach on alternation with a stony beach, possible to swim in some spots. This is the only bay in the west of Koh Chang where mangrove forest remains to be seen. This picture was taken in Jingle Hut, Ao Bai Lan.
Location: West of Koh Chang, about 13 km from Sai Khao Beach
How to get there: from Dan Kao Pier, Koh Chang, turn right to the west passing Ban Klong Son, Sai Khao Beach, Klong Prao Beach and Kai Bae Beach. Then drive along the steep road up and down the mountains to the beach road and forward to Lonely Beach, Tha Nam Beach and Bai Lan Bay. The car service rate is 70 baht each.
Along the main road is the viewpoint at the hill near Bai Lan Beach, food and drink at Sundown Terrace, shops and a few small restaurants near Bai Lan Beach. Each resort has its own restaurants. You should prepare your personal belongings and other appliances from Kai Bae Beach.
Along the way from Kai Bae Beach to Lonely Beach, the atmosphere changes to be more quiet with some bungalows at rock bottom price. In the past, the concrete road destined at Kai Bae Beach, so tourists usually stayed at Sai Khao, Klong Prao and Kai Bae Beach. Some tourists preferred to stay at Ban Bang Bao Homestay Village. All beaches located near Ban Bang Bao were accessible only by boat on the past before transportation improvement.

The location of Seaview Resort is on a terraced hillside enabling a beautiful construction of the accommodations with a clear view of the sea, and a nice viewpoint of Koh Man.
Location: West of Koh Chang, about 10 km from Sai Khao Beach
How to get there: Turn right from Dan Kao Pier passing Sai Khao Beach, Ban Chaiyachet and Khao Beach, Ban Chaiyachet and Klong Prao Beach. The beach road will be curving along the way and begins to be narrow which means entering the area of Kai Bae Beach. The car-fare is 40 baht each from Dan Kao Pier.
Kai Bae Beach is the tranquil area with more privacy than Sai Khao Beach. Some relaxing corners are available where foreigners prefer sunbathing. You can swim at Kai Bae Beach near Klong Prao Beach but the beach will be obstructed by a small canal called Kai Bae Canal which is the boat pier and cannot swim.
Kai Bae Beach has a lot of accommodation of different rates but the best one is Seaview Resort. Here is also the facility center as well as the mini-bus service center-from Kai of Koh Man Nai, Koh Man Nok, Koh Yuak and Koh Pli and admie the sunset.
Kai Bae Beach is still a famous beach for tourists who do not like crowds Though there are as many resorts and shops as Sai Khao Beach, this beach is more peaceful.
Kai Bae Beach is very crowded especially at the village near Kai Bae Banal having many seafood restaurants, fishing boats’ pier and various shops all of which are the color of Koh Chang at night time.
Kai Bae Beach has a lot of spots for relaxation. The beach stretches long next to Klong Prao Beach with a little slope ideal for swimming shady with coconut trees

The scenery from the hilltop behind Klong Prao Resort overlooking Klong Prao Beach and the sea far and away shady with coconut trees all along. The beach curves in crescent a bird’s eye-view from this mountaintop.

How to get there: From Dan Kao Pier. Turn right to the west padding Ban Klong Son, some steep mountains and Sai Khao Beach. Drive along the beach road until reaching Ban Chaiyachet which is the first point of Klong Prao Beach area. Car service rate between Dan Kao Pier and Klong Prao Beach is 40 Baht each. Chaiyachet is the stone cape located close to Klong Prao Beach, not good for swimming but is the place to see the most beautiful sunset scene of Koh Chang and the scenery of Klong Peao Beach. You wollpass Chaiyachet Bungalow and the fishing pier which looks like the block of water you can contact for the canoe boat renting at Chaiyachet Bungalow and paddle to the cape tip. Adjoining the pier is the location of Klong Prao Beach stretching to Kai Bae Beach. The area is very shady with lines of coconut trees. There are some resorts lining along the beach with wide area to enjoy privacy. So, a lot lf foreign to foreign tourists love to sunbathe at this area. During low tide, the beach looks very wide and can play the beach sports, swimming or strolling along the shore.
Klong Prao Beach starts from Laem Chaiyachet the stony beach and rocky cape with its long shape pointing out onto the sea when viewed from the height.
Besides being a nice viewpoint for Klong Prao Beach, Laem Chaoyachet in the evening is also another nice and famous place for viewing sunset on Koh Chang.
Laem chaiyachet is made up of a rocky cape and stony beach not good for swimming, but a nice viewpoint on Koh Chang overlooking a clear view of Klong Prao Beach. Beach activities, diving, trekking Klong Plu Waterfall, riding elephant, Kayaking, viewing the sunset or drinking at the beer bar. Various accommodation is found at different rates: bungalow, resorts and best resorts of hotel-standard, restaurants, camping area. Every resort is accessible by car.
You can also enjoy different atmosphere by visiting Klong Plu Waterfall located not far fron Klong Prao Resort with the bypath about 1.5 km to the area and the walkway of 400 m. or else, ride the elephant at Chutiman Elephant Camp near Ban Klong Prao Village. Koh Chang Plaza located ntar the road at the entrance of Chaiyachet Cape is the center of Klong Prao Beach’s might life almost the same as Sai Khao Beach with souvenir shops, mini-marts, photo shops, dive shops, motorcycles for renting and restaurants along the roadsides. The area is also the site of Ban Klong Prao Village, tempkes, markets, tour service center and Chutiman Elephant Camp.
