How to go to Ban Bang Bao by Bus
Ban Bang Bao nowadays is convenient with accommodations in the original style of Home Stay or with air-condition all are filled with the atmosphere of Ban Bang Bao.
Location: South of Koh Chang, about 28 km from Dan Kao Pier.
How to get there: Drive from Dan Kao Pier to the west of Koh Chang at the right. After passing Kai Bae and Bai Lan Beach, you will reach Bang Bao Crossroad with the road at the right leading to Bang Bao Homestay Village. Going straight from the crossroad, you will reach Bang Bao Beach. The car service rate is 80 baht per person. The distinctive features of Ban Bang Bao is its local houses of high pillars rested beside one another linked by the wooden bridge. This is the large fishermen’s village will some homestay houses together with other facilities.
Ban Bang Bao is one of Koh Chang’s interesting tourist destination.
Fron Bang Bao crossroad, drive about one km passing the National Park Ranger Unit (Bang Bao) to Bang Bao Beach which is the area of stones and sand having the canal of stones (Klong Hin) passing by. Here is the good sunset viewpoint.
Bang Bao Beach is made up of many a beach with different names but called as a whole as Bang Boa Beach. The beach is stony and sandy in some spots with a nice view of the fisherman village of Bang Bao.
Besides a boat trip to view Son Bay and Koh Mapring, Ban Klong Son has other actvities such as elephant riding and elephant show at Ban Kwan Chang to enjoy
